ஆனால், சீனாவோ வானிலை ஆய்வுக்காக அனுப்பப்பட்ட பலூன் காற்றின் வேகத்தில் திசைமாறி அமெரிக்காவுக்குள் சென்றுவிட்டதாக கூறியது.
எனினும், அதை ஏற்க மறுத்த அமெரிக்கா, போர் விமானம் மூலம் அந்த பலூனை சுட்டு வீழ்த்தியது. ஏற்கனவே இருநாடுகளும் கீரியும், பாம்புமாக மோதிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் தருணத்தில் இந்த விவகாரம் நாடுகளிடையிலான உறவில் மேலும் விரிசலை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

இந்த நிலையில் ஜெர்மனியில் நடைபெற்ற முனிச் பாதுகாப்பு மாநாட்டில் கலந்துகொள்வதற்காக அங்கு சென்ற அமெரிக்க வெளியுறவு அமைச்சர் ஆண்டனி பிளிங்கன் மற்றும் சீன வௌியுறவு அமைச்சர் வாங் யி ஆகிய இருவரும் மாநாட்டின் இடையே நேரில் சந்தித்து பேசினர்.
உளவு பலூன் பிரச்சினை உள்பட பல்வேறு விவகாரங்கள் குறித்து இருவரும் காரசாரமாக விவாதித்தனர். உளவு பலூன் பிரச்சினையை குறிப்பிட்டு பேசிய பிளிங்கன் இது அமெரிக்க இறையாண்மை மற்றும் சர்வதேச சட்டத்தை மீறும் பொறுப்பற்ற செயல் என கூறி கண்டனம் தெரிவித்தார்.

After the spy balloon controversy, US-Chinese foreign ministers have met in person for discussions.
Earlier this month in the US, a giant balloon was spotted flying over the skies of Montana state, which the military accused of being a spy balloon sent by China.
But China said a meteorological balloon had veered into the US due to wind speed.
However, the United States refused to accept it and shot down the balloon with a fighter jet. At a time when the two countries are already at loggerheads, this issue has created a further strain in the relationship between the countries.
The two countries have been engaged in constant verbal spats over the spy balloon issue.
In this situation US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who went there to attend the Munich Security Conference in Germany, met in person between the conference.
The two heatedly discussed various issues including the spy balloon issue. Referring to the spy balloon issue, Blinken condemned it as an irresponsible act that violates US sovereignty and international law.
He also warned China that China should not provide material aid to Russia, which is waging a war on Ukraine, and that it will have to face dire consequences, including economic sanctions, if it violates it.
Anthony Blinken emphasized that the US only wants healthy competition with China and does not want a conflict or a cold war.
